K. V. RAO

Born on 27th September 1948 in a Textile Business Family, Mr. K.V. Rao holds a distinction in Post Graduation in Nuclear Physics and Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Mr. Rao, throughout his academic pursuits had been a meritorious student.

Today, he is poised to emerge as the new age thought leader in the export industry of the country having created a distinction for Dolphin International in such a short span of time; and having carved a niche in the luxury market in the country with the introduction of two of the leading luxury brands housing unique products marked by distinct quality, exclusivity and timelessness.

Mr. K.V.RAO started his career in exports in 1973 in a leading company, exporting frozen shrimps and lobsters. After a short working experience, he moved to Delhi and worked in the export division of the Shriram Group, where he put in over 15 years of dedicated service.

March 1990 witnessed a major break-through, when Mr. K.V.Rao decided to quit Usha and start an export business of his own.  It was only in April 1990 that Mr. Rao gave the final shape to Dolphin International Ltd. specializing in International Trade.  It was his hard work and dedication, which resulted in the company being, granted a status of Export Trading House within a period of two years of its formation.

Apart from International Trade, THE DOLPHIN GROUP forayed into the retail foray with luxury brands viz ‘d’ mart Exclusif ‘ woodmart Exclusif’ & ‘elitaire’.

PRAVEEN RAO

As President, Dolphin Group, Mr. Praveen Rao is at the helm of managing the international trading and lifestyle retail operations of the Dolphin Group of Companies – Dolphin International Pvt. Ltd. and Dolphin Mart  Pvt. Ltd.

At his position, Praveen has undertaken the challenging task of taking forward the vision of his father, Mr. K. V. Rao, Chairman, Dolphin Group of increasing the brand salience globally and the turnover of the company consistently. Over the past 3 years he has managed to spearhead the development of the company’s short and long-term business and vision plans. He believes that success in retail is possible only through constant innovation and reinvention. 
 
Praveen is a highly motivated, proven performer with a total experience of 2 years in Marketing and 4 years in Management & Operations. He started his career with HDFC Bank as a Business Development Manager, Mumbai. 

Mr. K. Praveen. Rao holds a distinction in Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing, Mumbai University, India and Bachelor in Commerce (Honours) from Delhi University, New Delhi, India.

PREETI RAO MAINI

As a President (elitaire) Ms. Preeti Rao  is at the helm of spearheading Dolphin International’s current operations to new dimensions  related to health and wellness services. In the past, Preeti Rao has consistently delivered record setting gains in sales and profits in executive management roles in diversified industry verticals such as Health and Fitness, Retail, Technology, and International trade in USA, UK, Holland and India.

In the past, she has been instrumental in engineering the turnaround of d’mart Exclusif through industry-leading market research, product development, marketing plans, sales promotion and most importantly by securing strategic international alliances. She is currently passionately working towards expanding Dolphin International operations and aggressively pursuing new emerging markets.
